Logitech MX Keys Review - It just gives me an excuse to work more!

Logitech MX Keys Review - It just gives me an excuse to work more! With the majority of us working from home during these times, it wouldn’t be a surprise that some of us are looking for products to upgrade our home office. I’ve been meaning to upgrade my desk setup for some time (and that’s for another post), but the things that I’m touching the most when I’m working are definitely my keyboard and mouse. So as part of my desk setup upgrade, I’ve decided to get the Logitech’s MX Bundle after hearing so much rave about it, which includes the Logitech MX Keys and the Logitech MX Master 3 mouse. And a wrist pad… Can’t forget the wrist pad. For this particular post though, I’ll just focus on the keyboard (which is what I’m using to type this up now). Price I wanted to get this out of the way first because this is probably the biggest downside to this bundle - it’s definitely not cheap. Even with the discount I managed to get from my credit card, the entire bundle still ended up at $300 AUD...

Back in 2019...

Back in 2019... Have some spare time on hand, and what’s a better way than a trip down the memory lane when travelling overseas was normal. 2019 seems like such a long time ago now. This trip to South Korea was actually half work and half personal trip. It was a very short 5 days in South Korea, and we only stayed around the Seoul area. I was working during the day, and I joined back with my friends during the night time. We stayed in the Hongdae area as it was super convenient with the location. There are also many places on Airbnb that are around this area. No specific recommendations, just do a quick search on Airbnb. But to be honest, as long as you’re near a station, any area is fine as it’s all pretty easy to get around using public transport in Seoul. We visited some very touristy places Some if not all of the places I have been before on my first trip to Seoul, so this isn’t a list of places to go, but rather just the places we visited on this very short trip. But a trip makes ...

Circles!

Circles! One week trip in South Island. Started off snowboarding at Coronet Peak where I finally learnt how to complete the s turn (It's only my second time properly snowboarding, my previous times going to the snow were for skiing). The snow was so much softer and fluffier than the snow at Perisher (which made crashing landing so much more easier). If you don't know what that is, just check out the below (it's not us - we're weren't that in sync but it's goals) View this post on Instagram A post shared by Park Rat Snowboarding ™️ (@parkratpack) on Feb 25, 2020 at 4:11am ...

It's "SF", not "San Fran"

It's "SF", not "San Fran" We squeezed in one and a half days in San Francisco before our flight back home, and it was packed with city exploring. It started off in the Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39, where I saw seals from different sizes just sunbathing under the Californian sun. There were so many of them! I then took a quick stroll through Lombard Street and then through Chinatown. Then ended the first night with a group dinner at  Perbacco  - an awesome pasta restaurant with excellent service. I highly recommend going there - it's cosy, atmosphere is nice and the attention to detail the staff gives is on point. The next day we were picked up by our colleagues working in SF, and we were driven slightly out of the main city area to Sausalito. It was a very nice waterside area and it reminds me very much of Watsons Bay back home. It was also the first time crossing the Golden Gate Bridge. Unfortunately I didn't get a good photo of the br...

My First Time to America (Yes, really this time)

My First Time to America (Yes, really this time) So this trip was completely unexpected. I didn't think I would visit the USA any time soon but I ended up having the opportunity to visit California, and LA was my first stop. I do have to say - it wasn't what I expected. On Google Maps everything in LA looks so close together. Each of our destination only seemed to be about 20 mins or so drive away - but that's WITHOUT TRAFFIC. It seems the different parts of LA are only connected by one main highway and everyone spends almost half their day stuck in traffic. On multiple occasions, Google Maps actually directed us to get off the highway and on again at the next entrance so we can avoid the traffic in between. Traffic aside, we still had time to visit most of the landmarks we wanted to go. The hike up Runyon Canyon Park was beautiful and was easily the best part of my time in LA. There are also so many doggos around LA! I saw at least 40+ doggos during my few d...

My First Time to Europe (but not really)

My First Time to Europe (but not really) First time in Europe! Well sort of. I had the opportunity to visit Dublin for business and I've never travelled outside the APAC region before. I only had the opportunity to visit Dublin on this trip, but we still were able to squeeze some time out of the trip to rent a car to visit the natural scenery surrounding the city. Our group doesn't know how to drive a manual car (don't judge), but we had one person who claims he's had enough experience before so when we rocked up at the car rental and the employee told us they didn't have any more automatic cars available, we were all counting on him. Turns out, it was all a bluff. We were stuck at a single lane cross intersection for three traffic lights in a row! We stalled so many times on the way back to the hotel to pick up the rest of the crew and we were going at 20km/h max! After we got back to the hotel, we realised that we forgot one person (not intentional...

Singapore and Work

Singapore and Work I've actually been to Singapore before but kicking off this blog with adventures starting in 2019 and beyond. This time around it was a very short trip (3 days) so I didn't have the time to visit many places - but if I have the opportunity to go Singapore again, I need to visit Sentosa because I haven't been there before! To keep in line with the theme of this blog (and let's see how long I can keep this up for because the last time I started a blog it only lasted a few months), I'm going to stick to choosing only one photo each post out of the hundreds I normally take on a trip. The Jewel @ Changi Airport photo is probably my favourite photo (and it was reposted on  Singaporeworld ) on this trip since it was a new place that I've never been before and I visited during the time it was blowing up on Instagram. Even though I've seen it all over IG, it's still quite a sight to see this giant man made waterfall inside what...
